About Me

I was born and raised in Heritage Park of Pike Creek in Wilmington, Delaware. After some pit stops over my childhood in Smyrna and Bear, we ended up back in Pike Creek. A year later after coming back to Pike Creek, we ended up returning to Heritage Park when I was 13. The rest of my childhood was spent in this home. While I started schooling and jumped around from Heritage Elementary to Red Lion Christian School to Wilbur and Gunning Bedford briefly. Once back in Pike Creek, I went to Skyline Middle School followed by Delaware Military Academy before ending up at the University of Delaware for college.

While at the University of Delaware, I majored in Finance with a minor in Economics. Over my undergraduate experience, I played ice hockey all 4 years for the university. Making many lifelong friendships and memories to last a lifetime. Amidst COVID, I decided to go back and get my MBA with concentrations in finance and data analytics from the University of Delaware as well. With another year of eligibility, I played one last year of ice hockey while finishing my master’s.

After my last year of hockey, I received a job offer as a Financial Analyst for the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Philadelphia as a civilian for the Navy. I accepted, and started in May of 2022. I spent the next year, working and finishing my MBA resulting in my graduation from the program in May 2023.

Now in full adult life I continue working in Philadelphia for the Navy. Recently having moved to Philadelphia with my lifelong friend. After experiencing many of the hard lessons of life, I found relief and enjoyment in writing. In that, I started this blog after seeing how much certain writing resonated with others.

In this endeavor, I’m supported by my mother Michelle, sister Julia, my step father Rory, aunts and uncles, Gram and Pop Pop Brainard, cousins, and my friends. Supported by my guardian angels above by my late father Andrew and my late Gram Emerich as well.
